Mold in the Home or Office Building

Without mold, we would find ourselves wading neck-deep in dead matter. And we wouldn't have great foods and medicines, such as cheese and penicillin. However, problems arise when mold starts digesting organic materials we don't want them to, like our homes or cause illness to people.

Molds thrive in warm and humid conditions, but you can find them year-round in virtually every type of environment, both indoors and outdoors. You'll find them in basements, showers, dirty moist air ducts and other humid or moist areas of the home or office building. Once mold spores settle in your home, they need moisture to begin growing and digesting whatever they are growing on. There are molds that can destroy walls, furnishings, wallpaper, paints and even sheet rock. Left unchecked molds can be very destructive and costly.
